This luminous Herkimer Diamond is nearly water clear and very bright with not much visible inclusions. However, it has a tiny 'baby Herkimer', another Herkimer crystal, growing from one side and making this gem unique and one of a kind.
The shiny polished ring band is 2 mm wide and has been slightly hammered for texture.

"Herkimer Diamonds" is the name given to the double terminated Quartz crystals first found in Herkimer County, New York and surrounding areas. Nowadays Herkimer Diamonds are also found in Arizona, Afghanistan, Norway, Ukraine and China. The ones used here originate from Afghanistan.
